About

Built From the Ground Up

Yoeslandy Pombo arrived in Florida from Cuba in 2002. He started working that very same day. That single detail says everything about the man who would go on to found Pombo's Screen Enclosures.

Yoeslandy got his start in construction as an assistant on a crew, building screen enclosures for another company and learning the trade from the ground up. But the work never felt like work to him. Assembling a structure was like solving a puzzle, piece by piece, until, three or four days later, something stood where nothing had been before. What stayed with him most was the reaction from customers—their look of astonishment. Within two years, he had become a full installer, capable of building these structures from the ground up on his own.

In 2006, he earned his Residential Contractor license and set out on his own. By then, his wife, Teresa Padilla, had joined him in the United States. She took on permits, engineering drawings, job-site postings, billing, and the financial side of the business, while Yoeslandy focused on building. What began as one man's hard work grew into Pombo's Screen Enclosures—a true family business built on the values they brought with them from day one.

Over time, the company grew beyond what two hands could carry. Today, it includes a sales team, a project manager, an operations manager, office staff, draftsmen, and multiple installation crews working in the field every day. Much of that team came through family connections and lifelong friendships, and family members remain part of the organization to this day.

The philosophy has stayed the same from the very beginning: excellent work at a fair price. And the work never stops improving. Communication with customers, quality of service, and the systems behind every project are continually refined. Today, nearly two decades later, that same hands-on ownership is still involved in every project we take on. When you work with us, you're working directly with the people who built this company.
